Can you hear Biden, Obama and the DNCers today. America is having some fiscal problems and the Dems are happy as loons. They love America when it is in trouble and that makes them closer to power. Yet, remember the Carter years? Remember the banks, the oil-gas lines, the huge interest rates, the huge unemployment numbers that the Carter Administration could not handle and actually caused by their incompetence. It took Ronald Reagan to bring some fiscal sanity after some tough times. Obama is blaming the McCain-Bush ideas for this mess. Yet, the directors of Fannie May and Freddie Mac were people like Clinton's buddies, a lady who fouled up the intelligence gathering ability of CIA, FBI, and DIA during those Clinton 8 years. Country Wide's failure included wild speculation by Senators like Chris Dodd. So , if the public doesn't understand the housing bubble, it is not the Administration's idea or cause, and if they believe in class warfare, Dems will make hay in the election. We shall see. McCain should strike back with these economic facts or he will hurt his cause. The USA is still fundamentally a strong nation but it must be brought back to sound free enterprise systems which are not speculative on all fronts. A strong SEC, a strong FED , a strong faith in our system instead of talking down the economy is one way it could start to reform. But, reform is needed. And not huge tax hikes or even more silly regs which hamper small business. We shall see if McCain-Palin can provide that leadership or if the Obama-Biden ticket wins, will the actually undo any capitalistic succeeses that the USA has been built upon.
