Before I met Katy and married her in 1980, I was really a political junkie and went to rallies, bought books on pols, heard speeches and since the age of 15, had been a conservative due to Bill Buckley's God and Man at Yale. During the 1964 election year, Ronald Reagan gave The Speech. It was stupendous and helped Barry Goldwater get the nomination. He lost but Reagan and His Speech gained cred all over America. Last night, Sept. 3, A Speech was given by Sarah Palin at the RNC Convention as a VP candidate. It will go down as a speech which will outshine the Obama Olympian Column speech at the DNC Convention. Palin laughed, had fun , made great punch lines against the Dem Party and its silly liberalism. The Left bloggers tried to burn her to the ground over her son, Trig, her preggers daughter, Bristol and leftist writers like Joe Connason still try to smear Sarah over the Left's lies. This is going to backfire big time against the MSM. Outlets like CNN, MSNBC and the big 3 Networks will never again be seen as objective media. Never. The hatred of the liberal media is going to be seen as in the tank for the Messiah and anything that is Democrat or liberal or socialist or pacifist. This may not go well with Americans who still believe in victory over evil. Who still believe in free enterprise. Who still believe in the military as worthy to use against foreign enemies and help our allies like Israel and E. Europe. No one knows the future except God but for Sarah Palin, the future right now looks exciting and if her actions rival that speech, America will be the better for it.
